Czechia not considering joining Trump peace council, Babiš says
Czechia is not currently considering joining the Peace Council established by US President Donald Trump, Prime Minister and ANO party leader Andrej Babiš said on Sunday. Speaking on a NOVA TV debate show, Babiš noted that any decision would require approval by both chambers of parliament, making the process complicated and politically contentious. Babiš said the government wants to coordinate its stance with other EU member states, several of which have already ruled out joining. While he sees a potential benefit in engaging with Arab countries represented in the council, he stressed the issue is not on Czechia’s agenda at present.
