Czechia drops on European Prosperity and Financial Health Index

Last year, the Czech Republic fell from 15th to 16th place on the European Prosperity and Financial Health Index. The Czech Republic fared worst in the area of housing affordability, which is one of the most pressing problems, ranging from high prices of new buildings, lengthy construction procedures to the cost of running a household. According to Europe in Data analyst Tomáš Odstrčil, the Czech Republic has deteriorated in six of the ten pillars surveyed, which moves it closer to the East European countries, which rank lower down the ladder.
