Czech spas expect fewer Russian visitors
Czech spa towns, already impacted over the past two years by the coronavirus pandemic, are likely to be hitby a lack of Russian clientele and could also feel the strain of rising energy prices, the Governor of the Karlovy Vary region Petr Kulhánek has told the Czech News Agency. Those spas which have focused on increasing their domestic and Western clientele are likely to fare better, he said.
Especially Czechia’s most famous spa town, Karlovy Vary, is expected to be hit the hardest, a long time favourite for Russian visitors and until recently to one of the country’s consulates in Czechia, the Czech News Agency reports.
