Czech Senate shows support for Belarus opposition

Belarus’s historical flag was flown from the Czech Senate on Sunday, marking six months since disputed elections in which Alexander Lukashenko was reelected. The move was intended as a gesture of support for the opposition in Belarus, a spokesperson for the upper house said.

Other institutions in the Czech Republic also showed their solidarity with opponents of the Lukashenko regime.
