Czech Republic sending oxygen to Covid-ravaged India
The Czech Republic will send 500 oxygen cylinders to Covid-ravaged India, joining international aid from different parts of the world, as the country struggles to deal with an unprecedented upsurge in cases.
Prime Minister Andrej Babiš announced the news on Twitter, saying he had been in contact with India’s ambassador to Prague to find out what was urgently needed. The government is to approve the aid shipment at its session on Thursday.
Countries have been sending oxygen, ventilators and medical supplies to India in an effort to ease the country’s plight.
