Czech PM Babiš may visit China next spring

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš may visit China next year. The PM told journalists after a cabinet meeting that he and the minister of industry and trade, Karel Havlíček, might go to China in spring 2027, adding that a government-level visit could deliver economic results for Czechia.

The Babiš government has sought to improve ties with Beijing since its appointment.

The prime minister said a visit to China last week by lower house speaker Tomio Okamura, whose party is in the coalition government, had been a success.
