Czech mobile operators still going ahead with third generation project

While the planned introduction of third generation, or UMTS, mobile telephones has had some setbacks in the rest of Europe - notably when Germany's Telefonica rescinded its licence at a huge loss - the Czech Republic's third generation licence holders, Eurotel and T-Mobile are going ahead with the project as planned. Both companies paid over 3.5 billion crowns each for the licences.
