Czech internet giant Seznam takes legal action against PM Babiš

The largest internet company in Czechia, Seznam.cz, has filed a lawsuit against Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, a spokesperson said on Tuesday. Seznam says Mr. Babiš has repeatedly made false accusations that the firm failed to pay withholding tax of around CZK 900 million in connection with the payment of dividends and is thus guilty of tax evasion.

Responding to the move, the prime minister said media outlets owned by Seznam founder Ivo Lukačovič were guilty of lies and manipulation and that he planned to prove this.
