Czech government aapproves funding for MotoGP return to Brno

The Czech government has approved financial support for the return of the MotoGP Grand Prix to Brno’s Masaryk Circuit, allocating 100 million CZK annually through 2027. The support, granted via the National Sports Agency (NSA) to the Autoklub ČR, will cover three editions of the race starting this July. The MotoGP will return to Brno after a five-year hiatus. Prime Minister Petr Fiala said the funding sparked the most debate during the cabinet meeting but was ultimately approved alongside support for ski World Cup event in Špindlerův Mlýn and the potential 2029 European Youth Olympic Festival in Liberec.
