Czech diplomacy in Pakistan in contact with several Czechs

Czech diplomatic staff in Pakistan, which was until Saturday afternoon (local time) in armed conflict with India, are in contact with five Czechs and their relatives, who are confirmed to be fine. According to information from the Czech Embassy in New Delhi, no Czechs are also known to be in the parts of India where shooting is taking place. This was reported to ČTK on Saturday by Mariana Wernerová, spokeswoman for the Czech Foreign Ministry.

The ministry warns against travelling to Kashmir and Pakistan-India border regions. Czechs who are staying in Pakistan and are not in contact with the embassy should contact the emergency consular line. India and Pakistan have now agreed to a ceasefire in the conflict in the disputed territory of Kashmir. The ceasefire was mediated by the USA, American President Donald Trump announced.
