Czech cities opt for quieter or alternative New Year's celebrations

Some Czech cities are planning quieter fireworks or alternative celebrations for New Year's Eve. Larger cities like Prague will avoid fireworks altogether, opting instead for drone or musical shows out of respect for children, residents, and animals. In other regions, traditional fireworks will still take place, such as in Ostrava, though part of the display will feature silent pyrotechnics for the first time. In some towns like Kralupy nad Vltavou, fireworks will be replaced by drone animations. The approach varies across the country, with some municipalities maintaining loud displays while others prioritize quieter, less disruptive celebrations.
