Cyber incidents in Czechia slightly up in March, authorities report

The number of cyber incidents in Czechia rose slightly in March compared to February, the National Cyber and Information Security Agency (NÚKIB) announced. Authorities recorded 19 incidents, up from 13 in February. One incident was classified as significant, targeting municipal administration, while another, a ransomware attack on fire department systems in the Hradec Králové and Zlín regions, was deemed very significant. Ransomware incidents increased notably, comprising six out of seven information-security cases. Overall, the monthly average for the past year is slightly over 20 incidents, with 268 recorded in total last year, marking a slight annual increase.
