CR to take part in Commission talks over Babiš conflict of interest

Representatives of the Czech Ministry of Agriculture will take part in conciliation proceedings with the European Commission on Tuesday. The negotiations relate to a Commission audit that found Czech PM Andrej Babiš to be in conflict of interest in connection with the Agrofert group, which he founded. The conciliation proceedings will take place online but it is not clear whether they will be public, the Czech News Agency reported.

The European Commission said that Mr. Babiš still controlled Agrofert, despite placing it in trust funds. He denies this assertion.
