iRozhlas.cz: Agrofert dairy subsidiary filed suit at EU court over subsidies suspension

Mlékárna Hlinsko, a dairy company that is part of the Agrofert holding founded by the Czech prime minister filed a lawsuit in April with the Court of Justice of the European Commission over the suspension of subsidies based on Brussels’ audit of his possible conflict of interest.

According to the news server iRozhlas.cz, it is the second lawsuit filed by an Agrofert company over the European Commission’s finding that Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) is in a conflict of interest, despite having placed Agrofert into two trusts, as he remains the holding’s sole beneficiary.

MEPs voted overwhelmingly on June 10 to issue proceedings against Babiš for breaches of EU law regarding his conflict of interest. The non-binding resolution supported conclusions of the earlier European Commission audit.
