Covid risk index falls but still in highest bracket
The Covid-19 risk index in the Czech Republic stood at 85 points on Monday. This was lower than on the previous three days but still places the country in the highest bracket on the government’s index-based system of Covid-19 measures. Level five measures, including the closure of restaurants, were introduced during the Christmas holidays.
The risk index was lower on Monday due to a fall in the Covid reproduction number from 1.4 to 1.3, though three other factors used to calculate it worsened slightly.
