Covid-19: Czechia third most affected country in the world, worst in EU

Within the EU, the Czech Republic has the highest number of Covid-19 cases per million inhabitants (110,687). Worldwide, only Andorra (139,000) and Montenegro (117,000) are worse off.

According to data compiled by ČTK ahead of the one-anniversary of the first reported case here, the Czech Republic also has the second-highest percentage of Covid-19 deaths in the EU (1,840 people per million) after Belgium (almost 1,900).
