Court orders Filip Turek (Motorists) to apologise to environmental group

A Prague court has ordered government climate policy commissioner Filip Turek (Motorists) to apologise to the environmental organisation Hnutí Duha over comments linking it to deaths during floods. The ruling is not yet final. In an April Facebook post, Turek claimed several people had died because Hnutí Duha had prevented the construction of a necessary dam. He also described people working for the organisation as “parasites” that needed to be eradicated. The court issued a default judgment after Turek failed to respond to the lawsuit within the required deadline.
