Court to hear EDF lawsuit over Dukovany tender decision on 25 June
A regional court in Brno will hear French company EDF’s lawsuit against the Czech Competition Office (ÚOHS) on 25 June. EDF is challenging the office’s rejection of its objections to the nuclear tender for new reactor blocks at Dukovany. The lawsuit has already led to a suspension of the contract signing with Korean firm KHNP, which won the tender. KHNP’s winning bid—valid until the end of June—foresees the construction of two new blocks for CZK 407 billion. It is the largest government contract in Czech history and It remains unclear whether the court will issue a ruling immediately after the hearing.
