Construction of new Prague bridge over Vltava begins

The construction of a new 388-metre-long bridge crossing the Vltava river started in Prague on Tuesday. The Dvorecký Bridge will connect the districts of Prague 4 and 5. The bridge will primarily be intended for public transport, pedestrians and cyclists, as well as for emergency and rescue service vehicles. It should be ready at the turn of 2024 and 2025.

The construction, which has an estimated pricetag of CZK 1.075 billion, began with the traditional laying of the foundation stone.
