Conductor Jakub Hrůša and Bamberg Symphony Orchestra win ICMA award

Conductor Jakub Hrůša and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra have won the prestigious ICMA award for their recording of Anton Bruckner’s Fourth Symphony. The recording made for Accentus Music in 2020 was selected as the best in the Symphonic Music category. The Award Ceremony and Gala concert will take place at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg on April 21.

Jakub Hrůša has led the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra since 2016 and in 2018 extended his tenure as chief conductor for another five years. At the same time, he is the main guest conductor of the Czech Philharmonic.
