Chinese-made cars reach 4% of Czech market in first half of year

A total of 4,687 passenger cars made in China were sold in Czechia in the first half of 2025, nearly matching last year’s total for three quarters and representing about 4% of all cars sold, according to the Car Importers Association. MG led with 2,884 registrations, followed by Tesla with 608 and Honda with 535. Around 1,000 of the Chinese-made cars were electric and 305 hybrids, giving them a 14% share of the EV market. Major Chinese brands such as BYD, Chery, Xpeng, and DongFeng have recently entered the Czech market, while MG has been present for longer.
