Chamber: no sharp rise in prices in Czechia expected next year
A sharp increase in the prices of goods in Czechia next year is not expected, according to a survey by the Czech Chamber of Commerce among domestic companies. More than a quarter of firms plan to keep prices unchanged, while others expect increases of up to three percent during the year. Only 8.9 percent of companies are planning price rises above five percent. The chamber says the results confirm a gradual stabilisation of prices, pointing to slowing inflation, which fell to 2.1 percent year on year in November. According to the chamber’s forecast, inflation in 2025 should remain close to 2.5 percent, creating room for growth in real wages and household consumption.
