Breakaway group forms new party to back Okamura’s SPD
Some former members of the SPD movement have formed a new political entity called the Party of Supporters of Democracy and Tomio Okamura (SPDTO). The new group is meant to serve as a safeguard in case SPD faces criminalization, SPD deputy chairman Radim Fiala said today on CNN Prima News’ show Partie Terezie Tománkové. In early August, a public prosecutor filed charges against SPD leader Tomio Okamura and his movement for incitement to hatred.
