Bratislava court rejects Babis petition over secret police record

The regional court in the Slovak capital Bratislava has rejected a petition by former Czech prime minister Andrej Babiš, who said that he was wrongly listed in communist-era archives as an agent of the secret police.

The billionaire ANO leader told reporters he would continue the legal battle to clear his name, saying he had never collaborated with the StB and appeared in their records without his knowledge.

Mr. Babiš said that three Slovak courts had previously ruled that he was wrongfully named on StB lists.
