Bradáčová plans review of cybercrime investigations over possible errors

Czech chief public prosecutor Lenka Bradáčová plans to launch a review of serious cybercrime cases where police or prosecutorial errors might have obstructed justice. Speaking on Czech Television, she said the selection of cases would be based on an analysis she commissioned for regions under the Prague High Public Prosecutor’s Office, soon to be extended to include the Moravian regions. The review could lead to changes in internal procedures or even legislation. Bradáčová also supports giving Prague and Olomouc prosecutors authority over cyberattacks targeting critical infrastructure. She considers her new deputy, Zdeněk Kasal, key to these reforms.
