Bomb threat halts Prague city center traffic for 90 minutes
A bomb threat targeting Prague’s municipal court building in Spálená Street brought traffic in the city center to a standstill for about 90 minutes on Monday morning. Police evacuated court staff and diverted traffic from the area shortly before 9:00 a.m., resuming normal operations by 10:00 a.m. According to court spokesperson Barbora Bílková, all morning hearings were canceled. The building reopened to the public at 10:30 a.m. The alert caused the closure of Lazarská Street and nearby roads, affected nine tram lines, and restricted access to the metro at Národní station. No replacement transport was provided.
