Bishop František Václav Lobkowicz dies at 74
Bishop František Václav Lobkowicz has died at the age of 74, spokesman of the Ostrava-Opava diocese, Pavel Siuda, told the ctk news agency. Lobkowicz served as a titular bishop of Catabum Castra and as an auxiliary bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Prague, from 1990 to 1996. He was the first bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ostrava-Opava, heading the diocese since its founding in 1996. According to the spokesman, it is not yet clear who will take over the diocese.
