Belarus opposition leaders in Prague
Leading representatives of the Belarus opposition left Prague on Thursday, after a four-day visit, during which they met top representatives of the Czech Republic, including President Havel. Olga Szantova reports.
The Czech Republic, with its own experience of communist domination, has been closely following developments in Belarus, fully realizing the threat to democracy presented by President Alexander Lukashenko. This visit by leading Belarusian opposition representatives was organized by the People in Need Foundation.
