Ban on products containing HHC to come into force next week

Starting from next week, retailers will not be able to sell products containing the psychoactive substance HHC in stores or online, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Agriculture told the Czech News Agency on Friday. The State Agricultural and Food Inspectorate (SZPI) will be checking that businesses are complying with the law. In addition to HHC, the ban also applies to products containing HHC-O and THCP.

The government added these to the list of prohibited substances in response to a number of children and adolescents ending up in hospital in recent months after overdosing on products containing them.
