Australian Open: Krejčíková stages comeback win over Ostapenko

World women's singles No. 4 Barbora Krejčíková staged a comeback win against Jelena Ostapenko in three sets on Friday at the Australian Open.

Krejčíková, who has won the last three Australian Open mixed doubles titles, was in deep trouble at 2-6, 1-3 down to the Latvian. But she rallied to win the set by a score of 6-4 and achieved the same result in the final set.

But Krejčíková, who is also the No. 1 seed in doubles with compatriot Kateřina Siniaková, has announced that she will not play mixed doubles this year after winning this Grand Slam tournament in 2021.
