Ambassador: Support for Ukraine helping boost Czechia’s profile in US

The Czech ambassador to Washington says the US today regards Czechia and Poland as its biggest partners in Central Europe, mainly thanks to the countries’ support for Ukraine. Miloslav Stašek made the comment in an interview for the Czech News Agency published on Wednesday.

Mr. Stašek said Czechia’s credit in the US had risen enormously and that the country had put itself on the Americans’ geopolitical map.

The diplomat said Czechia merited having its leader received at the White House but that the date of a long-planned visit to Washington by PM Petr Fiala had not yet been set.
