After floods, 72 buildings in Moravian-Silesian Region to be demolished

Following the devastating floods that hit Moravia and Silesia in mid-September, structural engineers in the Moravian-Silesian region have ordered the demolition of 72 buildings, including 37 family homes, said regional fire chief Radim Kuchař. Firefighters carried out 20 demolitions, mainly where buildings posed a threat to neighboring properties. The remaining demolitions were handled by private companies or completed by property owners themselves.
