Young Lynx makes unprecedented recorded journey across Czechia

A young lynx named Bardi covered a distance unprecedented in the Czech Republic, Aktualne.cz reported on Saturday. The animal set out from the Šumava Mountains toward the north of the country and, after a journey of at least 160 kilometres as the crow flies, reached the Ore Mountains, the news site said. Conservationists describe his journey as the longest documented lynx migration in the history of domestic monitoring. The journey of the lynx, born in 2024, was documented by network of camera traps.
