Year-on-year inflation accelerates to 2.5%

The year-on-year inflation rate in Czechia accelerated to 2.5 percent in October, up from 2.3 percent in September. This comes from a preliminary estimate published on Wednesday by the Czech Statistical Office (CSO). Analysts had expected inflation to remain stable, with some even considering a slight slowdown. On a month-on-month basis, consumer prices in October rose by half a percent, the statisticians reported. The CSO will release the final October inflation figure on Tuesday, November 11. In previous months, statisticians have consistently confirmed their preliminary estimates.
