White stork chicks hatching earlier this year due to warm spring

White storks in Czechia are changing their migratory behaviour due to the unusually warm spring, Czech Television reports. Zdeněk Vermouzek, director of the Czech Ornithological Society, told the public broadcaster that the birds are returning to Czechia and nesting earlier than usual this year. Ornithologists already know of fifteen storks' nests with chicks, which is out of the ordinary for early May.
