West Ham’s Souček wins Golden Ball for Czech player of year for second time
West Ham United midfielder Tomáš Souček has been awarded the Golden Ball for Czech football player of the year for the second time, beating his teammate Vladimír Coufal by 411 points.
The 26-year-old midfielder played a pivotal role in helping West Ham reach their sixth Premier League title. Patrik Schick of Bayern Leverkusen came third in this year’s competition.
The Golden Ball is awarded each year to the best Czech footballer as decided by a committee of the country’s sports journalists.
