Wednesday sees fifth highest one-day jump in known Covid cases

There were 316 newly detected cases of Covid-19 in the Czech Republic on Wednesday, the fifth highest one-day jump in numbers since the first cases were recorded in the country on March 1. Over 20,000 cases have been registered in total and the number currently affected is 4,778, according to official Ministry of Health data.

Two people died with the coronavirus on Wednesday, bringing the total number of deaths to 404.
