Weather warning declared, temperatures set to rise

A cold weather warning has been declared for parts of Czechia on Monday. Meteorologists said there could be ice and heavy frost in some areas. On Monday morning there was ice on the roads in the Vysočina and Olomouc regions, with traffic accidents reported.

The ice and frost are a sign of warming, with the highest temperatures this week – up to 12 degrees Celsius – due on Saturday, the day Czechs celebrate Christmas.
