Vondroušová appeals four-year ban to Court of Arbitration for Sport

Czech tennis player Markéta Vondroušová has appealed against her four-year ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The court confirmed the appeal on Monday.

Vondroušová, the 2023 Wimbledon champion, was handed the ban in June after missing an out-of-competition doping test at her Prague home last December. She said the tester arrived outside her designated time slot and that she was experiencing an acute stress reaction at the time.

The hearing date has not yet been set. If Vondroušová loses her appeal, the ban would run until June 2030.
