Vondráček: Mayors’ leadership could face criminal charges
ANO party deputy chairman Radek Vondráček says the whole leadership of the Mayors and Independents could face criminal charges over an alleged corruption case centred on the Prague transport authority, if investigators treated them as a legal entity. He made the comment on a CNN Prima News debate show on Sunday.
The Mayors’ ex-deputy mayor of Prague, Petr Hlubuček, is in custody over the matter while the grouping’s Petr Gazdik stepped down as education minister over his links to the alleged ringleader.
The deputy chairwoman of the Mayors, Věra Kovářová, said on CNN Prima News that the party had responded resolutely to the affair and had the support of its government partners.
