Voborníková named Czech Biathlete of the Year for second time

Olympic bronze medallist Tereza Voborníková has been named Czech Biathlete of the Year for the second time in her career.

The 26-year-old succeeded Markéta Davidová, who won the award last year. In the vote by members of the Czech Biathlon Association, Michal Krčmář finished second, while Vítězslav Hornig placed third.

Voborníková secured the Czech biathlon team's best result at this year's Winter Olympics by winning bronze in the women's mass-start race in Antholz-Anterselva.

The athlete from Vrchlabí was also the Czech team's top performer in the World Cup season, finishing 12th overall. She was first named Czech Biathlete of the Year in 2024.
