Viktoria Plzeň beat Rangers 2:1, but fail to advance to Champions League

Viktoria Plzeň defeated Glasgow Rangers 2:1 in the home match of the third qualifying round on Tuesday, but they were unable to turn the tie around after the initial 0:3 away defeat, and so will not advance to the Champions League.

Rafia Durosinmi gave Viktoria the lead in the 41st minute, and Lyall Cameron equalised after an hour. Of the many other chances for the home team, only substitute Svetozar Markovič managed to score in the 83rd minute.
