Viktor Orbán calls on Czechia to deploy soldiers, police on Hungarian border with Serbia
Prime Minister Andrej Babiš has said he will propose that Czech soldiers and police again help patrol Hungary’s border with Serbia, following a request by his counterpart Viktor Orbán.
Prague has already donated 12 military tents to Budapest. The request to deploy some 50 Czechs along that border came during Mr Babiš’s ongoing visit to Hungary.
On Wednesday, he visited a guard post along the 175-kilometre barbed wire fence Mr Orbán had erected in 2015 during the “refugee crisis”.
