US military convoy to pass through Czechia

A US military convoy, which is heading from a NATO military exercise in Hungary back to Germany, will be crossing Czech territory in the coming days.

The first part of the convoy, made up of close to 200 US military vehicles and 600 US soldiers, will arrive in the Czech Republic on Sunday evening and spend the night at a camp near the town of Jihlava. The rest of the convoy will enter the country on Monday and Tuesday.

Since 2015, US soldiers have been regularly crossing the Czech Republic on their way to the Defender Europe exercise. The only exception was last year, when it was cancelled due to coronavirus.
