US makes financial donation in aid of Ukrainian refugees in Czechia

The United States will provide $10.2 million to organizations in Czechia that support Ukrainians who have fled the war in their homeland. The amount is part of a roughly $368 million  humanitarian aid package announced last week by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the U.S. Embassy in Prague said in a press release. According to the US Embassy's chargé d'affaires, Michael Dodman, the money is intended to express US solidarity with the Czech Republic and the people of Ukraine. "The Czech Republic continues to show initiative, courage and empathy through its support for Ukraine and Ukrainians fleeing the Russian aggression," he said. The money will be used to support the activities of the United Nations Children's Fund, the International Organization for Migration, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the World Health Organization in Czechia.
