Unions call on hospital employees not to sign contracts on overtime

Doctors' and nurses' unions and the Czech Medical Chamber have called on doctors and other healthcare workers in hospitals to refuse to sign contracts on overtime as of October 30. They want to achieve a change in remuneration, which they say the Health Ministry promised and failed to deliver. Currently, overtime accounts for 40 percent of a doctor's salary in Czech hospitals.
