Unemployment in Czechia fell to 4.3% in March, vacancies increased

Unemployment in Czechia fell to 4.3% in March from 4.4% in February, decreasing after four months of growth. This follows from data published on Tuesday by the Labour Office of the Czech Republic. Labour offices registered 322,140 applicants, approximately 4,000 fewer than a month earlier. Vacancies increased by 3,700 to almost 92,000.

The highest unemployment rate in March was in the Ústí nad Labem Region, at 6.6%. In the Moravian-Silesian Region it was exactly 6% and in the Karlovy Vary Region 5.3%. In Prague the unemployment rate was 3%, the lowest in the country.
