Unemployment continues growing

Czech unemployment in July rose to 9.2 percent from 8.7 percent in June. The figure is the highest result for July unemployment since 1993. Analysts attribute the development in particular to the inflow of fresh school graduates to the labour market as well as slow economic recovery in Europe and the unprecedented appreciation of the Czech currency. Unemployment is expected to continue growing by the end of the year, possibly to exceed 10 percent.
