Ukrainian soldiers arrive in Libavá for planned military training
Ukrainian soldiers have arrived for a planned exercise at the Libavá military area in Central Moravia, Chief of the General Staff Karel Řehka told the news website idnes on Sunday.
According to the website, the ministry did not disclose the exact number of soldiers or information on when they had arrived in the country for security reasons.
The parliament this week approved a bill that enables Ukrainian soldiers to be trained in Czechia as well as for Czech solders to train Ukrainians in other EU member states.
The training is to be carried out in five stages, planned until the end of 2023. Each exercise cycle will last four weeks and will be able to accommodate up to 800 soldiers. Its total cost is estimated at CZK 975 million.
