Ukrainian and Russian reactions to removal of Ukrainian flag from Czech Parliament

Friday’s removal of the Ukrainian flag from the Czech parliament was condemned by the chairman of the Ukrainian parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk in a post on X. He wrote that it is a “rather questionable achievement,” highlighting Czechia’s longstanding support for Ukraine and the flag as a symbol of a fight for freedom.

Russian diplomat Rodion Miroshnik, described by the Russian state news agency as a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry on the Crimes committed by the Kyiv Regime, posted on Telegram framing the removal of the flag as symbolic and highlighting potential implications for Czech policy toward Ukrainian refugees.
